Caring For the Injured
- 2/4 – DCAS – 1 feral male with eye infection. Convenia injection worked wonders! Kelsey is so much better.
- 2/14 – DCAS – 1 feral male – Hibachi will probably turn completely friendly and be adoptable. He had an injured toes, healing wounds, a scabby forehead and he’s FIV+. He is doing great, tho!
Our 7/1/22 trip included a black cat named Carlisle. Since then, his caretaker has gone into extended care and he has moved a block or two over. He got a tape roll stuck around his neck and in the course of removing that we discovered a really painful broken upper canine. So very hard to put cats back out if they are in pain, so yep, he got a dental. Super feral, returned to new caretaker’s yard as other than these two issues he was very healthy. Happy trails, Carlisle!
Taking next week completely off (crossing my fingers), no TNR til 2/27 and we have a colony of 14 already picked out that hopefully will move into the caretaker’s garage after surgery as we don’t know what the weather will do!
Total: February-to-date 2, year-to-date 20, since 2007 – 15,754.

Have You Moved?
We send out very few mailings – Holiday Card, Newsletter and tax letters, unless something very special comes up. As a result, we don’t always get the new addresses when someone moves (6 month limit on those). We like to keep our databases up-to-date and keep our donors, caretakers and adopters informed about our doings, so if you have moved, can you let us know before we use a stamp? It is possible to ask for email of newsletters and blog posts as well, just let us know. If you want to subscribe to our online "mailings", containing all blog posts and the year-end newsletter, just click on this link. And if you've changed your address or want to change your mailing preferences, please contact us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. - thank you!
Speaking Of Holiday Cards
A year with snow on the ground! One of the benefits of this is that then our caretakers have time to snap some photos for our yearly Holiday Card Contest! Deadline 4/15/25, pictures must be clear, show snow and an eartip on the cat(s). Recipients of our card appreciate them and look forward to them every year. Many keep all the ones received since we started the contest – the picture of your feral can bring so much positive energy to Feral Fixers!
Have The Mice Moved In?
We can always use more Working Cat locations. We would much rather return them to the area they know but it isn’t always possible. We do have many that decide to turn friendly once they have been relocated, they seem to appreciate the investment we have made in giving them a new future! Just their presence can make a difference in the volume of rodents in an area.

Random Acts of Kindness Day – 2/17/25
Random Acts of Kindness Day encourages people to spread love, compassion, and positivity through small, unexpected acts of kindness. It is also a day off work for President’s Day for many – there’s time! Share information about Feral Fixers, put some extra kibble in your feral’s bowl, make a positive comment on a post about cats! As always, thank you all for YOUR kindness!
