A brief note to say thank you to everyone who has supported us in the last few weeks!

Our Celebrate 2000! matching funds fundraiser raised a total of $2,240 and with the original pledge of $1,000, we received a whopping $3,240 as a result of so many generous people responding to our request! We received many donations by mail, once again it was a pleasure to go to the P.O. Box!

And our recent Sweet Tomatoes "Feast for Feral Fixers!" was also a huge success! Obviously we have more friends out there than we had any idea, as my original estimate was that 20 - 25 people had attended, which I thought was a pretty good result for a first time event. In fact, 70 adults and 14 children were in attendance for a total of 84! This will result in a check to us for $270!!! I was amazed and truly grateful that so many people took the time out of their busy lives to enjoy this event! Attendees were asking when we would do it again, so we have already requested another date in early December and will fill you in on the details as soon as it is approved. Sweet Tomatoes will be carrying over the special 20% donation for this second event, also!!!

Our very next event is the Feral Fixers Bazaar "Shop for Strays" on Sunday, November 7th. We have more vendors signing up every day, we hope to have 20 or so home party consultants to help you beat the Holiday shopping crowds! Check our Events page for more information.

Once again, we could not continue to do what we do without the help of our donors!

Thank you so very much!

Feral Fixers accomplished another milestone on December 16th - fixing 1,000 cats in a single year!.

We are very hopeful that this will make yet another dent in the number of feral and unwanted cats that wind up at DuPage County Animal Care & Control each year. Last year saw a 35% reduction in that number and we're hopeful that we'll see another such reduction for 2010.

Such an accomplishment could not have happened without an extensive volunteer network, a very willing partner at the PAWS-Chicago Spay/Neuter clinic and Tammy, our President, somehow keeping all of this going.

We've said it before and we'll say it again - WE COULDN'T DO WHAT WE DO WITHOUT YOU - THANK YOU!"
