Mooshie’s Story
In October, Mooshie came to us from Woodridge. He had been around for awhile and clearly had Upper Respiratory. Because of being ill, he could not be neutered until he was healthier so he was started on antibiotics. His eyes were constantly gunked up, he was not eating and his gums were inflamed. In ten days of treatment – eye meds, oral antibiotics – his breathing was better, his eyes improved and even his gums were better! Persian mixes often have flat faces with short noses, making them susceptible to respiratory, dental and even eye issues. Mooshie clearly had entropion in both eyes – the eyelids fold inward into the eye, causing irritation and pain. On 11/3 he received his neuter, vaccinations, Convenia and entropion surgery in both eyes. Until we can be sure he will not rub his eyes, he has to wear an Elizabethan cone, frustrating him to say the least. Overall, he feels so much better! Eating very well, making happy paws and he can actually see now! Giving cats healthy and happy lives makes all the difference in what we do. Our thanks to our donors, our vets and our fabulous volunteers who care for all of the cats we encounter!

Life is so much better! Fluffy beds!
