Feral Fixers brought in 19 more cats to the PAWS-Chicago Spay/Neuter clinic on Thursday to be fixed. Tammy provides the details:
19 went in. 14 ferals, 5 friendlies. Ted took them in and Rita & Judy picked them up. Minus two already neutered.
Of the ferals, two were already neutered males from two different locations. One had traveled a mile from the location we had tnr'd him at a year ago, the other had been done by another organization - quite some time ago judging by the number on the microchip, we were using numbers close to it back in '09.
Seven of these cats came from a trucking supply/repair location. They are dirty and underfed and we will be trying to do one of our rare relocations for this colony. Please let us know if you have friends or family that need some ferals on their property! One of the females had her injured and infected tail amputated today by the fabulous vets at PAWS and will be feeling so much better for it.
One of the caretakers brought in a cat and had dreams of bringing it indoors, even tho it was extremely feral acting to us, she said he is great with them! He tested positive for FIV and may live a very long time with the virus but this may affect her decision to bring him inside.
Thanks Tammy and Thank you Rita and Judy for picking up the cats from PAWS!
With these 17 cats, Feral Fixers has processed 40 cats for December, 1,191 for the year and 4,696 overall.
