On Thursday, we brought 43 more cats to the PAWS-Chicago Spay/Neuter clinic to be fixed. 25 of these cats were ferals while the other 18 were 'friendly ferals'.
Super-volunteer Charli helped me pick up the cats from Tammy's and bring them to PAWS. Thanks Charli! And super-volunteer (and Feral Fixers Director) Sue loaned us the use of her van as we had a larger-than-normal load of cats to bring in. Also, Sue was at Tammy's on Wednesday night (as she in on many other nights) to help Tammy with the cats she is temporarily holding. Thanks Sue! Super-volunteer Stacy helped me pick up the cats from PAWS on Thursday night and bring them back to Tammy's for recovery and redistribution. Thanks Stacy! Finally, super-volunteer Judy was at Tammy's both Thursday morning and Thursday evening helping out with all of the activities necessary to make all of this happen. Thanks Judy!
One of the friendlies was judged to be too-ill due to upper-respiratory infection (URI) and his surgery was cancelled. And so with these 42 cats done on Thursday, we have fixed 148 cats for October, 919 for the year and 4,424 overall.
