On Thursday, we brought in 30 cats to the PAWS-Chicago Spay/Neuter clinic to be fixed.
16 were friendly ferals while the other 14 were ferals.
I picked them up from Tammy's and brought them into PAWS, but they were truly, truly, jammed into my SUV. Tammy drove down to PAWS in the evening, along with myself, to help pick up the cats and bring them back to her house - thanks Tammy!
One of the friendlies had URI (Upper Respiratory Infection) and was judged too ill to have surgery, but the other 29 came through just fine. One of the cats had a broken, necrotic tail, and the PAWS vet amputated it for us. Another feral brought in by someone else had a BB in its chin, and the PAWS people removed that. This visit to PAWS is probably the only time these ferals will ever see a vet and it is so gratifying to see the PAWS people go the extra mile to get them as healthy as possible - Thanks PAWS!
With these 29 cats, Feral Fixers has now processed 65 cats in May, 284 cats this year and 3,789 overall.
