Today we brought nine more cats to the PAWS-Chicago Spay/Neuter clinic to be fixed. Seven of them were ferals while the other two were friendly ferals.

One of the friendlies did not get surgery because of the general run-down, dehydrated condition it was in, plus a possible fractured leg. Though it is friendly, it has been living on the street and it shows. So, we'll take this one off to the local Animal clinic to be fixed. The other eight cats did fine.

I did the trip both ways, picking up the cats from Tammy's and delivering them to PAWS in the morning and then, in the afternoon, picking them up from PAWS and bringing them back to Tammy's. Super-volunteer Judy was there both in the morning and afternoon to help out (Thanks Judy!) and super-volunteer Mary was also there working with some other cats (Thanks Mary!).

And, this past Sunday, even though we were officially "on break", we had one emergency cat to deal with. Feral Fixers Board Member and super-guy Kurt took the cat into PAWS along with some others he had trapped and then brought it back in the afternoon to Tammy's. Thanks Kurt!

With these nine cats overall, Feral Fixers has processed 36 cats for May, 256 for the year and 3,760 overall.
