We were all set to bring 16 more cats to the PAWS-Chicago Spay/Neuter Clinic on Thursday. I arrived at Tammy's house at 8am to pick up the cats and bring them to PAWS when, well, I'll let Tammy tell the story of Thursday:
On Thursday we once again had a birth in my garage before the cats went into PAWS. The mom did not really look all that pregnant. They should have an indicator like a turkey or something. The caretaker, Cindy, is fostering the family until the kittens are old enough to be on their own. Way to go Cindy!
We sent 15 cats into PAWS. 8 males and 7 females, although one of the females had already been spayed and eartipped - she was soooo nasty tho, I didn't get a good look at her ears!
Ted, once again made the trip into PAWS, making a side trip to pick up some donated food and Jodie did pickup. Everyone did fine!
The 15 came from 9 different towns (Addison, Bloomingdale, Carol Stream, Glendale Heights, Lombard, West Chicago, Westmont, Wheaton and Schaumburg) and 11 different locations. We do get around!
So, thank you super-volunteer Jodie for picking up the cats from PAWS and thank you super-volunteer Judy for being at Tammy for pick-up and delivery to help with the process.
With this last batch for March, we wound up doing 89 for the month, 168 for the year and 3,673 overall.
