This past September 25th, the West Suburban Humane Society held its annual BarkaPALooza event. This was the fifth year in a row that Feral Fixers hosted a booth at this gathering and, as in previous years, it was a blast. Despite the rainy and cool weather, the turnout was great, both by people and their pet dogs!
Lots of people stopped by our booth to either tell us how much they supported what we do or to get more information about our work. We always enjoy spreading the word.
I love dogs and I love these events because I get to interact with all sorts of canines. In previous years, we had a booth right next to the basset hounds, but this year we were next to a Great Dane rescue Group. I had our tent set up before they got there and was honored to be able to hold the leash of one of the Great Danes (Daisy) while they set up their booth. Daisy got lots and lots of treats from our stash!
Photos of the event can be found on our photo album here.
