Last Thursday, Feral Fixers brought in 31 more cats to the PAWS-Chicago Spay/Neuter clinic. 25 of them were ferals while 6 were 'friendly ferals'.
I picked them up from Tammy's; super-volunteer Judy was there to get things ready and to coordinate things while super-volunteer Jennifer helped me load up super-volunteer Sue's van (which we had to again borrow to bring such a large number of cats to PAWS). Thanks Judy! Thanks Jennifer! Thanks Sue! Then I picked them up from PAWS and brought them back to Tammy's for recovery and return.
2 of the friendlies were judged too ill to have surgery (both will be sent to PAWS again in the near future after their health issues are addressed) while 1 of the ferals was already spayed (but not ear-tipped, so we had no way of knowing). This means that 28 cats in all were spayed/neutered this day.
With these 28 cats, Feral Fixers has now processed 82 cats this month, 129 this year and 2,610 overall.
