Yesterday, Feral Fixers brought in three cats to the PAWS-Chicago Spay/Neuter clinic to be processed.

One of them, unfortunately, was very badly wounded. One leg was completely necrotic. The cat had a large gash in its side and several broken ribs. There was a hole in the leg that you could actually see through. After consultations between the PAWS vets and our President, the difficult decision was made to euthanize him. A very tough decision, but probably the only reasonable one for a cat this injured. He probably had a run-in with a car or truck and was in bad shape.

Super-volunteer Jennifer drove the cats to PAWS (Thanks Jennifer!) and I picked them up and brought them back to Tammy's for recovery.

With these two cats, Feral Fixers has now processed 51 cats for the month, 977 for the year and 2,456 overall.
