Today, Feral Fixers had eight more cats processed at the PAWS-Chicago Spay/Neuter clinic in Chicago. Four of them were ferals and the other four were 'friendly ferals'.
As I was out of town today, super volunteer Jennifer drove them to PAWS this morning (Thanks Jennifer!) while super volunteers Julie and Connie picked them up (Thanks Julie! Thanks Connie!) and brought them back to Tammy's for recovery.
With these eight cats, Feral Fixers TNR'd a total of 80 cats in May, 335 so far for the year and 1,814 overall. This puts us 68 cats ahead of the pace we set last year - we've done more cats this year through May than we did through June in 2009. Things are going to slow down a bit over the next several weeks while our President Tammy recovers from shoulder surgery (lifting up all those cats creates a lot of wear and tear ☺). But we won't completely stop and we'll be picking up the pace again around the end of the month - full speed ahead!
