We TNR'd eight more cats today, all of them feral. Super-volunteer Mary brought them to the PAWS-Chicago Spay/Neuter clinic (Thanks Mary!) while I picked them up and drove them back to Tammy's for recovery.
Five of these cats were males and VERY STINKY indeed. Normally with a lot of cats, I drive my son's SUV. The cats then are 'in the back' and opening the back windows allows me to dissipate the smell somewhat. Today, however, because all of the cats were in small traps, I was able to transport them in my car. I much prefer to drive my car rather than my son's SUV, but the downside is that the cats are several feet closer to me. Even with the windows very open, the males made their 'silent presence' known to me.
It's a good thing they don't give out tickets for 'stinky cars' or I'd be in big trouble ☺
With these eight cats, we've now done 40 for the month of May, 295 for the year and 1,774 overall.
