Today, we processed seven more cats (six ferals and one 'friendly feral') at the PAWS-Chicago Spay/Neuter clinic.
Super-volunteer Jennifer drove them to PAWS this morning (Thanks Jennifer!) while I picked them up this evening and drove them back to Tammy's for recovery.
If you don't know where PAWS is located, its address is 3516 W 26th Street - right in the heart of the Little Village neighborhood of Chicago. It is a VERY Hispanic neighborhood and I was dreading the drive down there today - today being Cinco de Mayo. When this neighborhood decides to have a party, it HAS A PARTY!!! Streets are blocked off, music is blaring, the crowds are out, etc. It's all very friendly and looks like a lot of fun, but it sure plays havoc with traffic. Anyway, I was dreading driving through it today, but there was nothing going on - nada. No streets blocked off, and the traffic was moving well (as well as it can in a busy Chicago neighborhood during rush hour ☺).
One becomes thankful for small favors...
Anyway, with these seven cats, Feral Fixers has now TNR'd 19 cats for this month, 274 for this year and 1,753 overall.
