Yesterday, I drove in 12 cats to the PAWS-Chicago Spay/Neuter clinic to get fixed. Eleven of them were feral while one was a 'Friendly Feral' - living outside (with some scars to prove it) but gentle enough to pet and pick up. He also had the most mournful meow I've ever heard - a very sad and plaintive cry...
Super-volunteer Sue picked the cats up in the evening from PAWS (Thanks Sue!) and drove them back to Tammy's for recovery.
With these dozen cats, Feral Fixers has now flown by 100 cats for the month. We're up to 108 cats for March (March Madness indeed!), 158 so far for the year and 1,637 since we've started work.
