Super-volunteer Jennifer took in nine cats to the PAWS-Chicago Spay/Neuter clinic this morning (Thanks Jennifer!) while I picked them up and brought them back to Tammy's for recovery this evening.

One of the cats had already been spayed, but had not been micro-chipped nor ear-tipped. The PAWS people took care of this as well as administering the rest of their package (rabies & distemper shots, de-worming and treatment for ear mites). I still don't know how they can do all they do for only $25/cat (male or female). We would not be able to do what we do without them and we have to say again to PAWS - THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU DO FOR THE FERAL CATS!!!

So, we really only had eight cats sterilized today. And, one of the cats we brought in last Sunday was also already sterilized but I inadvertently added it into our numbers. So, if you take out one cat from last Sunday and add in the eight from today, we've now done a total of 91 cats for the month of March, 141 for the year and 1,620 overall.

This week is shaping up to another busy one. We did a bunch on Sunday, more today and have another run scheduled for tomorrow. But, if we don't get them now, there will be even more of the little darlin's to worry about and that's something that no one wants...
