Last Tuesday, I took nine cats to the PAWS-Chicago Spay/Neuter clinic to be fixed. Five of them were ferals and four were 'friendly ferals'. I was unable to pick them up, so our President, Tammy, and super-volunteer Laura picked them up.
We had been told beforehand that the cats might not be ready for us that evening as PAWS had scheduled lots of surgeries that day. The PAWs vets wound up doing 130+ surgeries on that day - truly remarkable. And, nine of those surgeries were for our cats - yes, they were ready to be picked up that evening.
Thanks PAWS - I'll say it again - we couldn't do what we do without you!
With these nine cats, Feral Fixers has now had 92 cats fixed this month, 823 this year and 1,434 overall.
I hope everybody's Thanksgiving was a grand one!
