December 18th – Last Adoption Event Of 2021
We've prepared our list of 25 cats ready for this Saturday, 11am to 3pm. There are some home adoption visits scheduled so the list may change. Two of our adult males, Kingsley and Big Mac will be there, you've got to meet them! We currently have 23 cats posted on our Petfinder, often cats are matched with an adopter before they are posted – get your pre-approved adoption applications in ahead of the event. This will be the last adoption event for the year but we will continue to schedule individual meetings at the building as needed. Please continue to share our wonderful adoptable cats with your friends and family – we would love to see them all home for the New Year!
Our Last Spay/Neuter Trip of the Year
This year has just flown by, we've done so much!
We sent one of our adoptables, Valley Girl, for spay to Glen Ellyn Animal Hospital. She showed up as a 5 week old kitten in early September, she was mentioned in a previous blog post, she had a bot in her eye, fly larva in a wound, underweight. She progressed, healed, is in foster, getting used to playing with the other kittens and will soon be up for adoption. She has almost no vision in her left eye but it is stable so did not have to have it removed. She was spayed at Glen Ellyn on 11/28.
On 12/10 we took 6 friendlies to ADOPT, 3 males, 3 females. The last unneutered kittens of age we had on hand! This brings us to 69 for November, 6 for December, 764 for 2021 and 13,213 since our beginning in 2007.

Will We Meet Our Black Cat Giving Tuesday Goal?
We've had donations thru check and direct PayPal that we've added to our total – as of this writing we are at $6,342 – 42% of our goal! That is huge! We set our hopes high, we know that, but we have until December 31st to get to our full match. Great to hear about alumni! It is not easy to choose who to support when there is need everywhere you look – thank you for selecting us when you can.
