On Monday, April 24, 2017 THE AFTER HOURS FILM SOCIETY presents "Kedi" at the Tivoli Theater. Animal lovers are invited to meet hundreds of thousands of Turkish cats that roam the metropolis of Istanbul freely. For thousands of years they’ve wandered in and out of people’s lives, becoming an essential part of the communities that make the city so rich. Claiming no owners, the cats of Istanbul live between two worlds, neither wild nor tame –and they bring joy and purpose to those people they choose to adopt. In Istanbul, cats are the mirrors to the people, allowing them to reflect on their lives in ways nothing else could.
Complimentary refreshments and a group discussion will follow the film. After Hours programs are held at the Tivoli Theatre, 5021 Highland Ave, Downers Grove at 7:30 pm. Admission: $6 After Hours Members, $10 Non-Members. For more info go to After Hours Film Society website or call 630.534.4528. View the trailer (below).
Feral Fixers has been invited to staff a table both before (6:30pm- 7:30pm) and after the showing. We will be discussing our TNR activity, showcasing our adoptable cats & kittens, and selling a few promotional items. There should be a lot of cat-loving people in attendance. Feral Fixers is very grateful to the After Hours Film Society for inviting us to this event. It should be a fun evening - come on out and see a great film, enjoy the company of fellow cat lovers and show your support for Feral Fixers at the same time.
