Feral Fixers made two more trips to the PAWS-Chicago Spay/Neuter clinic this week, bringing in cats to be spayed/neutered. Feral Fixers president Tammy gives us the details:
Another week, another 43 cats.
On 11/18, Debbie was kind enough to make the trip to and from PAWS with 10 ferals. There were 7 males and 3 females.
On 11/19, Debbie and Charli made the AM trip and Dedra and Debbie made the PM run. There were 8 ferals and 27 friendlies. One of the friendlies started out the morning in a trap but was so clearly friendly and purring on contact, that we switched him from feral to the friendly category before the transport left. One feral male was already neutered and one friendly male had URI symptoms so did not have surgery, resulting in 17 females and 16 males being neutered.
Our total for the week was 43, the month of November is 132, for 2015 we have neutered 1,107 so far and our grand total is 8,385 neutered cats since we began.
Thank you to our super-transport-volunteers Debbie, Charli and Dedra!
