Feral Fixers held another Adoption event yesterday, January 31st. Feral Fixers Board Member Sue, our rock-star volunteer in charge of adoptions, gives us the details:

Thanks to the many volunteers, fosters and PetSmart we had another successful adoption event on 1/31!

Nairobi's adoption was completed at the event. He will be going home later this week. A couple of new applications were received. Final kitten selection is underway for both of these adopters, but Linus & Lucas are in the front running. We also had several other former and approved future adopters stop by to meet the kittens and discuss future fostering or adoption opportunities.

14 kittens were in attendance at the event. This is a bit less than prior events - a good sign that we are working through finding homes for the kittens we rescued last year! Many thanks to Toni, Cheri, Joanna, Kim and Gillian for bringing their fosters to the event.

There were also many wonderful volunteers that helped out with the event, including Bernie, Lauren, Mike, Joanna, Toni, and Kim. Thank you very much! Thanks to Mike for updating our binder again. Thanks much also to Judy for stopping by with some supplies and good input.

Special thanks to PetSmart as well for giving us two cart loads of canned food for use by our foster homes, and a bag full of stuffed dogs & cats to give to our adopters! They have been a most gracious host for these events.

We received a few compliments from folks at the event, most notably a comment that we seemed to be one of most organized rescues with a great Facebook presence that was always current. Thanks, Connie!

I confirmed with PetSmart and ARF that our next adoption event will be on Sunday, 2/15, 11am-3pm. We hope to showcase a few more new kittens at this event.

Thanks again to all,

Sue

Thanks Sue!
