Feral Fixers brought in 46 more cats to the PAWS-Chicago Spay/Neuter clinic today to be fixed. 19 of these cats were ferals while the other 27 were "friendly ferals".
Super-volunteers Charli and Cathi helped me bring the cats to PAWS this morning while super-volunteers Dedra, Rita and Judy helped me bring the cats back to Tammy's this evening. Thanks Charli! Thanks Cathi! Thanks Dedra! Thanks Rita! Thanks Judy! We originally had 'only' 45 cats to bring in, but at the last minute, someone called Tammy saying that she had trapped a feral that she had been trying to get 'forever'. The cat was in Westmont, so super-volunteer Cathi stopped by this person's house on the way to PAWS and brought the cat in to be part of our total amount. Thanks (again) Cathi!
And, of course super-volunteer Judy (the other Judy) was at Tammy's this morning and this evening helping out with everything - thanks Judy!
It was a late evening at PAWS - they weren't finished with our cats until after 6pm. Consequently, we didn't finish driving and unloading cats at Tammy's until about 8pm.
One of the friendlies didn't get done - it had diarrhea and the vets decided it would be too risky to do surgery on the cat, so a total of 45 cats (19 ferals and 26 friendlies) were fixed this day. This brings our monthly total to 104, our yearly total to 1,224 and our overall total to 7,211.
