Feral Fixers brought in 42 more cats to the PAWS-Chicago Spay/Neuter clinic today to be fixed. 35 of these cats were ferals while 7 were 'friendly ferals'.
We had a big crew transporting today. In the morning, super-volunteers Charli and Cathi helped me pick up the cats from Tammy's and bring them to PAWS (Thanks Charli! Thanks Cathi!) while in the evening, super-volunteers Dedra, Rita and Judy helped me pick up the cats from PAWS and bring them back to Tammy's (Thanks Dedra! Thanks Rita! Thanks Judy!). And as usual, super-volunteer Judy (the other Judy) was at Tammy's both this morning and evening helping out with everything - Thanks Judy! I was able to help out today - my back is doing much better - I'm done with Physical Therapy - and I was able to haul carriers and small traps.
Everything went smoothly today. The cats were finished by 5:30pm, so all of us made it back to Tammy's by 7:15pm - earlier than normal. Only one cat, a feral, did not get done today, PAWS discovered a spay scar on her, but she got the rest of the "PAWS Treatment" so we wound up doing 34 ferals and 7 friendlies. Of these 41 cats, 24 were females and the other 17 were males.
With these first 41 cats of November, Feral Fixers has now processed 1,161 cats for the year and 7,148 overall.
