Feral Fixers sent in ten more cats today to the PAWS-Chicago Spay/Neuter clinic to be fixed. All ten of these cats were ferals.
Super-volunteer Charli picked up the cats from Tammy's in the morning and brought them to PAWS (Thanks Charli!) while super-volunteer Maureen picked in the cats from PAWS in the afternoon and brought them back to Tammy's for recovery and distribution (Thanks Maureen!). Feral Fixers President Tammy gives us a few more details of the day's trip:
Due to a power failure the computers were not working at PAWS, so much of the records had to be hand-written, taking a lot of extra time. Maureen didn't leave there until 7:10 PM.
One male, Holden, is FIV+. He is on the fence about being friendly. He is extremely thin so he was not doing well outside. We will have to see if he bulks up without any further complications but as usual, where does he go from here?
Seven of these cats were females while the remaining three were males.
With these first ten cats for July, Feral Fixers has now processed 486 cats for the year and 6,462 overall.
