Feral Fixers brought in 13 more cats to the PAWS-Chicago Spay/Neuter clinic yesterday. Seven of these cats were ferals while the other six were friendly ferals.
Super-volunteer Charli picked up the cats from Tammy's in the morning and brought them to PAWS (Thanks Charli!) while I picked up the cats from PAWS in the evening and brought them back to Tammy's for recovery and distribution. And, once again super-volunteer Judy was at Tammy's in the afternoon to help out with everything - Thanks Judy!
One "wrinkle" for the day was a cat which was trapped too late to be shipped to Tammy's and added to the load being brought to PAWS. Instead, this trapper went to PAWS and gave the cat (already in a trap) to Charli and it got added to our overall total for the day. Plus, she had a kitten she had trapped so she gave that, too, to Charli, who brought it back to Tammy's for eventual fostering and then adopting. Complicated, but it all worked out...
Eight of the cats in the Feral Fixers group today were females while the other six were males.
With these 14 cats, Feral Fixers has now processed 20 cats for June, 388 cats for the year and 6,364 overall.
