This past Thursday, we made our first trip of the year to the PAWS-Chicago Spay/Neuter clinic with 19 cats. As it is still cold, cold, cold outside, all of these cats were 'friendly ferals'.

Super-volunteer Charli picked up the cats from Tammy's in the morning and brought them to PAWS (Thanks Charli!) while I picked them up from PAWS in the late afternoon and brought them back to Tammy's for recovery and distribution.

And, as always, super-volunteer Judy was at Tammy's in the morning and afternoon, helping out with everything that needed doing - Thanks Judy!

One of the cats turned out to have already been spayed while two more were rejected for health reasons. This means that we wound up having a total of 16 cats fixed in this first trip of 2014.

This brings our grand total up to 5,988 - getting awfully close to 6,000!
