Today, Feral Fixers brought in 41 more cats to the PAWS-Chicago Spay/neuter clinic to be fixed. 25 of these cats were true ferals while the other 16 were 'friendly ferals'. There were supposed to be 17 friendlies, but one took sick overnight, so 16 it was for them and 41 overall...

Super-volunteer Charli helped me with both the trip in to PAWS, picking up the cats at Tammy's, taking them to PAWS and helping with the paperwork, and the trip from PAWS back to Tammy's, picking up the cats from PAWS and helping transport them back. Thank you Charli! And, as always, super-volunteer Judy was at Tammy's house this morning, helping get the cats ready, and again this evening, helping distribute the cats to their owners/caretakers, giving directions, answering questions, etc. Thank you Judy!

All 41 cats were fixed, including a 3-legged feral. We had the vet check him out while under anaesthesia and, outside of the missing leg, he appeared to be healthy. Poor guy - I'm sure he must have it rough out there - lucky he has a caretaker!

With these 41 cats, Feral Fixers has processed 89 cats for September, 771 for the year and 4,276 overall.
