Tread Munchkin's Broken Leg

On Thursday, August 31st, Charli and Debbie took 20 cats to PAWS including #10,000 - Smirnoff! Dedra and Debbie picked up. There were 14 ferals and 6 friendlies, 12 females and 8 males. It was discovered that the feral Munchkin had a broken tibia and although they had time to amputate, we decided to try and save it by splinting or surgery at the local vet as PAWS does not have the equipment to do those procedures, but he had everything else done.

On Friday, 9 more friendlies went to Spay Illinois, 3 males and 6 females. Debbie delivered and picked up.

After Splinting

This brings us to 29 in these two trips, 110 for August, 9 for September, 578 for the year and since 2007, 10,023 cats neutered by Feral Fixers!

Munchkin did not need surgery and has a spiffy wrapped splint on his leg and will be recovering in a crate. Cross your fingers that he leaves that bandage alone and is good to go in a couple of weeks! We'll get a picture of him later!

Thank you to everyone who has helped us help the cats and reach this milestone!
