Adoption Event – 3/16/25

Sunday, March 16th, 1PM to 4PM at 330 Eisenhower Ln N, Lombard, IL. This is the time of year that there are fewer cats for adoption overall until the onslaught of kittens takes place! The cats we have available are wonderful cats that we know so much about and we are very careful to place them in the right home! Fill out an adoption application in advance to be pre-approved. Check out our cats on our Adoptables page - as we begin trapping for the year and encounter adoptable cats that have ended up outside, our list can change!

We’ve Started – With Limits

The weather is so uncertain these days! We’re being very careful to be sure that the cats we trap and return have sufficient shelter to compensate for having had surgery. We will be going full force in April. Please be patient but also help us be aggressive in trapping as many cats as we have surgery slots!

  • 2/27 – DCAS – 14 ferals, 1 friendly, 9 female, 6 male. We mentioned a location with 14 reported cats – with this trip we were able to TNR 11 of those cats! Many locations have large numbers of cats. In this trip we sent in the 40th cat from one location in West Chicago that we had been working at since 2022. We neutered the 34th cat from a location in Hanover Park since starting there in 2019.
  • 3/6 – DCAS – 15 ferals, 6 female, 9 male. Five more from the colony of 14 = 16 so far with two more to trap – often while the cats are gone for TNR, more show up from the surrounding area, taking advantage of the openings!

    Total: February to-date 17, March 15, year-to-date 50, since 2007 – 15,784.

As Many As Possible As Soon As Possible

    15 cats on 03 06 25.

712,320 Births - The impact of TNR

Since 2007, Feral Fixers has facilitated 8,480 female spays. Just the first year following those spays over the course of 17 years could have resulted in 712,320 Births.
