We actually had 9 adoptions from the building today!
- Rollo & Rosie were adopted by a family in Arlington Heights. The family loved how playful the kittens were with their sons.
- Swift & Sweeney were adopted by a couple from Streamwood. They are clearly big animal advocates and will give the kittens lots of love.
- Midgie & Miguel were adopted by a couple in Lisle. They grew up with cats and were looking for the first furry children of their own.
- Harry, Haley & Haines were all adopted together by a gal from North Aurora who was looking for some companions in her new townhome. She loved all of the kittens for their own unique qualities and couldn't leave one of the three behind.
I invited 4 pre-approved adopters to the building at slightly different times and had 4 foster families set up in different rooms in the building. All originally inquired about Swift & Sweeney, but as they visited the various rooms and met the other kittens, all of them decided on a different set. It was wonderful! 4 happy adopters and 9 kittens with homes!
Many thanks to Candy for helping me co-host the event, transport Swift and Sweeney to the event, and engage with Swift's & Sweeney's potential adopters. Thanks to Laura B, Marisa & Dean, and Julie K for bringing their foster kittens to the event and engage with the potential adopters. Thanks to Marge & Murray for doing an excellent job fostering Swift & Sweeney in preparation for this day.
We have a mini-adoption event scheduled at the Wheaton PetSmart on Saturday, 7/18. They are allowing us to bring in up to 10 kittens and have up to 3 volunteers present. So fosters will have to drop off their kittens, but I will ask that they be accessible by phone for conversations with potential adopters. Candy and Sara have graciously volunteered to help with this event.
We are working on getting our kittens adopted!
Thanks,
Sue
