Yesterday, May 2nd, Feral Fixers held another Adoption Event at the KRiSER'S Natural Pet store located on Roosevelt Road in Glen Ellyn. Feral Fixers Board member and Adoption coordinator Sue gives us the details:

It was a beautiful day today for our adoption event at Kriser's. We had 13 cats in attendance, with the youngest being 6 mo old Harley, and the oldest being sweet 3 yr old Lola. Wendy, a beautiful Siamese mix female, was our official greeter and spent the day outside the store in a crate meeting new people. She especially enjoyed meeting the children that came by.

Traffic was a bit light in the store, likely due to the good weather. However, we did have 2 pre-approved adopters come in with their roommate/families and adopt the kitty of their choice. Enrico found a home with a young man from Chicago, and Violet found a home with a nice family from Naperville :-) Rudy and Jackie demonstrated their kid-friendly cuddly skills with a little 6 yr old girl and her grandma, who we hope will be future adopters. This little girl was clearly a budding cat lady - she had all of the right moves with the cats!

Many thanks to the wonderful volunteers who helped with the event, including Debbie, Arlene, Joanna, and Lauren, and to the foster moms that brought their kitties to the event, including Bethany, Monica, Joanna, Cheri, Judy, Debbie, Kim & Sue.

Special thanks to Joanna for being our photographer, to Mike for updating the binder, and to Debbie for transporting many cats to/from the event. Thanks to Judy for stopping by and helping with some manicures, and to Tammy for coming by with some paperwork.

Many thanks to Kriser's for hosting this event, and also for providing wet and dry food donations. It was a successful day :-)

Our next event will be at PetSmart during National Adoption Weekend, 5/16-5/17. It will likely be on Sunday, 5/17, but I still need to confirm with the store.

Thank you Sue and thank you to everyone who helped and showed up!
