Over the past week, Feral Fixers made three trips to the PAWS-Chicago Spay/Neuter clinic to get cats spayed/neutered.

Tammy gives us the update for the trip on Sunday (September 15th) and Wednesday (September 18th).

On Sunday, (Feral Fixers Director) Kurt transported 4 ferals and 1 friendly to PAWS for us, all had surgery and it went well.

Wednesday, (super-volunteer) Charli transported in the AM and (super-volunteer) Dedra picked up in the rainstorm! We sent 18 cats - 5 ferals and 13 friendlies. Five of our friendlies did not receive surgery, heart murmurs, sneezes that blossomed en route to the clinic, many things that kittens hide so well until they are examined by a vet! So we did a total of 13 cats on Wednesday.

Thanks Kurt! Thanks Charli! Thanks Dedra!

And today, Thursday, we brought in 41 more cats to PAWS. 34 of these cats were ferals while the remaining 7 were "friendly ferals". Super-volunteer Charli helped me pick up the cats from Tammy's today and bring them to PAWS (Thanks Charli!) while super-volunteer Dedra helped me pick up the cats from PAWS today and bring them back to Tammy's (Thanks Dedra!). And, as always, super-volunteer Judy was at Tammy's in the morning and afternoon (and, I'm sure on Wednesday, too) helping out with all of the multiple tasks necessary to make this all work. Thanks Judy!

One of the ferals turns out to have already been spayed, so we wound up getting 40 cats fixed on this trip.

With the 5 cats from Sunday, 13 cats from Wednesday and 40 cats from today, we've had 58 more cats fixed. This brings our September total to 107, our yearly total to 907 and our overall total to 5,640.
