Today, Feral Fixers brought in 33 more cats to the PAWS-Chicago Spay/Neuter clinic to be fixed. 20 of these cats were ferals while the other 13 were 'friendly ferals'. And, 14 of them were females while the other 19 were males.

Super-volunteer Charli helped me pick up the cats from Tammy's in the morning and take them to PAWS (Thanks Charli!) while super-volunteer Dedra helped me pick up the cats from PAWS this evening and take them back to PAWS (Thanks Dedra!). And, super-volunteer Judy was at Tammy's this morning helping out with everything (Thanks Judy!).

Originally, we had "only" 32 cats to take to PAWS. That's how many were in Tammy's garage and that's how many that Charli and I brought in. But later in the morning, Tammy called me to let me know that someone had left a drop-trap "loaded" and had captured another cat this morning. Tammy didn't want to have the cat wait a week in a trap for the next trip and she certainly did not want to let it go, so, with the help of PAWS, she dialed up "Plan B". This consisted of super-volunteer Dedra picking up the cat at Tammy's early in the afternoon and then bringing it to PAWS. The PAWS staff was ready and waiting for this cat and fixed it along with all the others. So, thanks again Dedra (and thanks again to PAWS)!

With these first 33 cats of April, Feral Fixers has now processed 182 cats for the year and 7,460 overall.
