Over the past two days, Feral Fixers has had eight more cats fixed by the PAWS-Chicago Spay/Neuter clinic. All of these cats were ferals.

I picked up the cats from Tammy's Tuesday morning and brought them PAWS but was unable to pick them up until today due to the volume of animals operated on by PAWS on Tuesday. They had a tremendous "show" rate and a group that brought in 20 ferals unannounced and a few surgical emergencies that contributed to the Tuesday headaches. Shannon Gillen, the clinic supervisor, tells me that the PAWS personnel surgery/recovery personnel didn't leave PAWS until after 10pm last night! So, I picked up the eight cats from PAWS this afternoon and brought them back to Tammy's for recovery.

With these eight cats, Feral Fixers has now processed 58 cats for the month, 1,005 for the year and 5,738 overall. This makes the fourth year in a row where Feral Fixers has had over 1,000 cats spayed/neutered. Huge thanks are due to all of the volunteers that make this possible, to PAWS who keeps just getting them done and to Tammy for making the whole thing go.

THANK YOU - WE COULDN'T DO IT WITHOUT YOU!
