Feral Fixers brought in 51 cats to the PAWS-Chicago Spay/Neuter clinic today to be fixed. Originally there were supposed to be 54, but at the list minute, four of the Friendly Ferals were deemed not ready and an extra feral showed up. So, the final count was 51; 22 ferals and 29 Friendly Ferals.

In the morning, super-volunteers Charli and Dedra helped me pick up the cats from Tammy's and bring them to PAWS. Thanks Charli! Thanks Dedra! And in the afternoon, super-volunteer Dedra did double-duty by helping me pick up the cats from PAWS along with super-volunteer Stacy. Thanks (again) Dedra! Thanks Stacy!

And, as always, super-volunteer Judy was a Tammy's both in the morning and afternoon helping out with the myriad tasks necessary to get everything done - Thanks Judy!

One of the friendlies had a grade-4 heart murmur (quite severe, I'm told) and so the PAWS Admitting Vet deemed her not healthy enough for surgery. But the other 50 cats all got done.

So, with this first 50 cats for July (we didn't bring in cats last week due to the July 4th holiday), Feral Fixers has now processed 509 cats for 2013 and 5,242 overall since our inception.
