Today, Feral Fixers brought in seven more cats to the PAWS-Chicago Spay/Neuter clinic to be fixed. Five of these were true ferals while the other two were 'friendly ferals'.

I made the trip both ways, picking up the cats from Tammy's in the morning and taking them to PAWS and then picking them up from PAWS in the evening and taking them back to Tammy's for recovery.

The surgery for all of the cats was routine, but the PAWS clinic supervisor, Shannon, mentioned that one of our ferals had "one of the worst cases of tapeworm I've ever seen". 24 hours from now, that should be all gone. The poor cat has been living with that and, thanks to the PAWS treatment, will now be cured of it. Thanks PAWS - you rock!

With these seven cats, Feral Fixers finished up the month of May by doing 77 cats, 296 for the year and 3,801 since our inception in late 2007.
