This past Sunday, we processed four more cats at the PAWS-Chicago Spay/Neuter clinic. All four of them were feral.

Super-volunteer Jennifer picked them up from Tammy's and brought them PAWS (thanks Jennifer!) and I picked them up from PAWS and brought them back to Tammy's for recovery. Included in this batch was the cat that had the abcess which PAWS detected and cleaned up and asked to be brought back for examination. The wound is healing fine, the cat is acting healthy and PAWS determined that it would be healthy enough to stand surgery, so this one got spayed too. Just one more good deed that PAWS has done - thanks PAWS! A month or two from now, this injury will be fully healed and this cat will lead a normal and healthy life.

We had permission to bring in more than four cats, but with all the rain we've had, this is all we could get. Still, these four cats now give us a total of 145 for the month, 916 for the year and 3,397 overall.
